Runic, NVIDIA, GOG and Notch all weigh in on SOPA |

SOPA Blackout Day on the January 18th will be one of the best days in Internet History and a lot of game companies have weighed in on the situation including the wondeful Minecraft developer Notch, Graphics Company NVidia, Trine devs Frozenbyte, Torchlight creators Runic and the dudes behind Good Old Games.
GoG Owners CD Projekt recently did a turnover on their position on piracy and suing people. They've talked about SOPA and said that SOPA will "restrict the scope of legitimate content allowed on websites in ways we probably don't even know yet."
The black list SOPA will create will be an unregulated system controlled by the US government. CD Projekt has said that people will not be able to post "Let's Plays" or any video game footage online. They also said they don't think SOPA will cause people to stop piracy and that if passed people will just find new ways to share things. Also that large consumers will probably lead that way due to online restrictions showing previews or anything of that nature.
Meanwhile in Sweden, Mojang and Notch talked on Twitter about SOPA and their stance on the matter. Notch said that Minecraft.net and Mojang will go offline on January 18th and that they are unhappy about the fact something like SOPA exists.
Meanwhile, graphics creators NVIDIA have thrown down saying that the ESA had not contacted them about their decision to not fight SOPA and that they "oppose piracy"...but also do not support SOPA. "[They] don't believe it is the right solution to the problem" and that they need to address this problem "in a constructive and fair manner."
Frozenbyte and Runic talked about SOPA and said the scope of SOPA is unclear and that proposed legislation would give unnecessarily broad power to large corporations. I know I made up my decision the second I heard SOPA. In Australia they tried pulling this blacklist nonsense last year and with America trying it out to the point of it just being financially-driven. I think January 18th will make a stance and while QJ.net won't be down on the day, we will be reporting on the awesome amount of insanity the rest of the internet will face for those who don't know about the situation.
The millions who will try to search on Google. The hundreds of thousands looking for cat videos on YouTube. The twelve-year old's on Reddit. The obnoxious celebrities on Twitter. Everyone will know what SOPA will be like and how we all will suffer from it.
Also look up P.R.O.T.E.C.H.J.O.B.S if you've got some spare time.
