Only the finest in... highway robbery. Hey, at least it's free. - Image 1

It's called nostalgia, heritage, classic. Rockstar Games' top-down open-world shooters Grand Theft Auto and Grand Theft Auto 2 set the stage for what would be the defining game of the series, Grand Theft Auto 3 on the PS2. We're now at GTA (insert city here) Stories for the PSP, and the coming GTA IV for the PS3 and Xbox 360 - such a long way from those good old days.

Rockstar Games and Rockstar North bring the good old days back - for free. They have made GTA and GTA2 free online downloadables, along with the 3D vehicle combat title Wild Metal. The link below takes you to the Rockstar Classics page, with instructions on and requirements for downloading each title. You will have to submit some name and contact info as a prerequisite in the process.
