It appears that Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad won't be rolling out to the front lines at the end of August after all. Developer Tripwire Interactive has announced that the World War II-themed title is being pushed back two weeks to its new September 13 release date.
Tripwire says that the launch date is being moved in order to give the dev team more time to "get it right and add the extra polish the game (and the players) deserve."

Announced earlier this year, Red Orchestra 2 promises to redefine the WWII shooter genre with its unique and innovative gameplay. The game boasts "first person cover, immersive first person tank warfare, all new multiplayer gametypes including the multiplayer campaign mode, and unrivaled weaponry with systems such as full ballistics and suppression of enemies."
Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad was given an August 30 release date back in late June.
