Race Driver: Grid's PS3, PC online servers shut down |

Three years after Race Driver: Grid launched, Codemasters has announced that the multiplayer servers for game's PlayStation 3 and PC versions have been discontinued.
"After three years of service, 2008’s Race Driver: GRID's online play service has been discontinued for the PS3 and PC editions of the game. This follows the decision by a third party provider to decline the offer of an extended contract to continue online play on these platforms," explains Codemasters community manager Ian "Helios" Webster on the company's official forums.
"Race Driver: Grid for Xbox 360 is not affected," he added. "We thank fans for their support and apologise to those affected by the end of this service."
Racing fans still have a lot of Codemasters-made options, however. The company is currently working on F1 2011 and a Grid sequel. They also released Dirt 3 late last month, our review of which can be found here.
