Pre-TGS Charity Auction being planned by CESA

After admitting that they are looking into the possibility of downsizing this year's Tokyo Game Show in light of the Japan quake, organizers CESA now announced that they will be holding a charity auction to raise funds to contribute to the country's relief campaign.

They have not announced the specifics of the charity auction, but they do promise that they will be divulging details about it soon. Their main goal, of course, is to raise some more funds to aid in the the relief efforts of the quake and tsunami-stricken areas in the country.

It's also been reported that they are already getting the Makuhari Messe convention center up for repairs although it was not necessarily damaged by the natural disasters. They're also reassuring fans that they are working on addressing the issue of rolling power outages throughout the country. If all goes well, the TGS event should be ready for that as well.

And here's hoping that they will be able to pull off a successful TGS event this year.
