Videogames as the cause of violent behavior... Yeah, we've heard that one before. But now, a company called Zipland Interactive is dabbling on a PC game that they claim will be the first computer game designed to help kiddies of separated or divorced parents cope with their new situation. The name of the game? Earthquake in Zipland.

So just what in the world is it about? The game begins in Zipland, a paradise island comprised of two parts held together by a zipper, which represents the marriage of the parents. Then an earthquake rips the island into two, leaving the king and the queen on separate islands. The main character, Moose, then sets out on a quest to build a new zipper and re-combine the islands so that life can go on as before.

Ideally, it would address situations surrounding children and divorce and would also try to open direct dialogue because as they say, communication is the key. In fact, the demo is out now and you can get it via the Read link below. But for now, here's a video of the game. You decide if it's a revolutionary breakthrough in video gaming or if it's baloney.
