It's official: Paul Pierce of the Boston Celtics is the cover athlete of the latest edition of Backyard Basketball 2007.

Along with fellow NBA young stars LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, Pierce is set to take on the hard court in a kiddie-fied look to provide hoop fun with a fantasy streak to please the younger NBA fans. "Being on the cover of Backyard Basketball 2007 is an important highlight in my career. I spend a lot of time working with kids, so I know how popular and fun the game is and how it can help kids better understand the rules and strategies of basketball," says the Bolton Celtic superstar.

The Backyard series is now in its fourth year and currently the best selling basketball video game for kids. The game has won over the hearts of the younger crowd with its child-friendly look, fun gameplay, true-to-game strategies, and simple controls.

Backyard Basketball 2007 is the only kid basketball video game licensed by the NBA and is currently out for the PlayStation 2 and the PC nationwide.
