Reportedly, a whopping 80% of the participants voted Pac-Man for their pick when asked which video game is their favorite. What is not known, however, is if they were asked to identify the game, or if they were made to choose from a range of options -- if so, what other games were included in the list.

Apparently, the survey was conducted as part of the company's study for the promotion of their brand of arcade sticks, so playability on these controls might have been a factor for the said survey. Surprisingly, no new title is included in the list. It can either imply two things: that the survey is limited to old consoles, or that people really just dig down really deep into their childhood when asked about their favorite games.

The rest of the top 10 "All-time Fave" games include the following:

1. Pac-Man
2. Donkey Kong
3. Space Invaders
4. Asteroids
5. Frogger
6. Ms. Pac-Man
7. Centipede
8. Pong
9. Mortal Kombat
10. Galaga

Early this year, Pac-Man was reported to be coming out with an actual reality show, with Namco Bandai and Merv Griffin Entertainment as partners. We haven't heard anything about it since, though, so we're not really sure if that pushed through or not.
