"Old School RPG" is Old News |

If you were looking forward to the "Old School RPG" Kickstarter project created by industry heavyweights Brenda Brathwaite and Tom Hall, unfortunately we have some bad news for you. Although the game has received thousands upon thousands of dollars from RPG enthusiasts, apparently the game was simply not able to generate enough buzz from an industry perspective. Because of this the development team known as Loot Loop has decided to take their plans back to square one for a different concept.

At the beginning of October, plenty of us were excited to see this intriguing gaming venture show up on our kickstarter feeds. After all, how much more interesting can things get when you have a Dungeons and Dragons aficionado working behind the same creative minds that brought us games like the Wolfenstein series? The answer to that seemed like gosh darn entertainment bliss, and many others around the globe happened to agree. With a total of over $247,000 in revenue raised, there certainly was no slouch in terms of a community. However, with a full thirteen days to go many started to wonder if it would ever reach its minimum one million dollar goal.
Unfortunately enough, these numbers simply weren't enough to impress some of the larger figure heads in the industry. According to the team themselves ultimately, our pitch just wasn't strong enough to get the traction we felt it needed to thrive," which left them with the bitter taste of rejection. Loot Loop says however, that your kind donations will not go to waste, because a new project is already in the works. As sad as it is, "Old School RPG" remains dead in the water.

2. The average person only gave $33....no wonder it failed.
3. 1 million dollars? For fucking what? No wonder it failed.
4. I looked through the project and saw nothing in terms of game play. If you're going to ask for ONE MILLION DOLLARS then at least have the motivation to sit down and work for FREE on some demo/sample items like all the other successful projects. Ya lazy ass bums! No wonder it failed.
