NFS Shift 2 devs can't crack game themselves |

Apparently, Slightly Mad studios president Stephen Viljoen was making a presentation of the game when he couldn't get to use the ultra luxury race cars in the game, like the Lamborghini Gallardo. Instead, he had to make do showing off a bright Red Golf GI, which unfortunately could not quite deliver the speed they need.

Dumbfounded, the dev called on the rest of his team via his cellphone. However, as it turned out, none of them could crack the code too, this despite the fact that Viljoen had the dev's very own cheat codes in his hands.
So what copy were they using that they could not get a crack at it? As it turned out, it was your old run of the mill retail copy. And yet, even the company's president could not bypass it.
While that flub could have meant embarrassment of epic proportions, what it did in the end was to prove just how tightly locked Shift 2's security is against hackers. Good job, dev team!
