The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is not due out for quite some time, so you can expect plenty of speculation on the game between now and the end of 2014.  With that being said, will it feature multiplayer?

If the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt does have a multiplayer mode, it will be a first in the series.  Adam Badowski, managing director for CD Projekt Red Studio, told Eurogamer that they are “thinking about something” in that realm.  He didn’t exactly give much in the way of details, however.

“But I cannot explain it now,” Badowski said. “You can expect some information later on. Sorry for that!”

Badowski was asked if the studio’s plans might be something similar to the wave-based Dark Arena mode seen in The Witcher 2.  He responded by saying, “I don't think so.”

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be the first title in the series to be released on a Sony platform when it hits the PlayStation 4 by the end of 2014.  It’s slated for release on other high-end platforms as well.  Whether or not the next Xbox is one of those remains to be seen.
