Peter Moore: console sports game too popular, PC sports games dying - Image 1If you're planning on playing Madden 2009, you'd best have a console as the game will not be appearing on the PC. This is according to a recent blog post by Peter Moore.

Moore explains that developing sports games for the PC is becoming a "very serious business challenge" for them; mostly because the genre is more popular on consoles.

Aside from Madden, EA Sports will also be cutting a few other PC games from their line-up this year, although Moore didn't specify any titles. If you're a die-hard PC gamer though, don't worry, as Moore also remarked that they have plans for the platform:

We do have ideas for how to revitalize the PC for sports games and the types of games that are best suited to the platform, and weÂ’ll continue to explore those.

Still, the 2009 edition of Madden is still a long way off. Perhaps EA Sports will change their minds during the season. We'll keep you posted.

Shocking

Only casual gamers and their kids are interested in playing Madden Part 34: More Madden? Shocking.

Thank you.

At least somebody gets it. If you are a PC gamer chances are you have not invested in a gaming rig to run a generic sports game.
