Modern Warfare 2 - Image 1Money sure has been hard to come by lately, and if lack of upgrade dough has left your PC a little dry, then you'd better take a look at these system requirements for Modern Warfare 2 (Xbox 360, PS3, and PC) - that is if you have plans of playing it on the PC.

Info comes by way of this GameStop ad, specifying the system requirements on the lower left corner. If your eyes can't squint that well anymore, they are:
  • OS: Windows Vista/XP
  • Processor: AMD 64 3200+ or Intel Pentium 4 3.0Ghz or better
  • Memory: 16 GB free hard drive space / 512 MB RAM (XP) / 1 GB RAM (Vista)
  • Video Card: Shader 3.0 or better 256 MB nVidia Geforce 6600GT / ATI Radeon 1600XT or better
You can also try heading over to the source for other info.

» Hmm....

I have all of that But doesn't the requirements look to low? Like compared to how the game is and how it looks?....

» a bit...

but if there's one thing infinity ward did well with cod4 it's that the game looks great despite having a somewhat low poly count. they did a fantastic job with textures and lighting.

» Who cares about the requirements

Not like the requirements realy matter anymore, wont be getting it anyway, IW have screwed up big-time with this one and have lost my money as well as thousands of others who wont be buying it.

IW if you're reading put dedicated servers in and then you'll get me and thousands of others back

» almost the same as modern warfare 1

but id still reccomend

any dual core cpu 2ghz and up

geforce 8600 or higher

2gb ram, so you can play at decent graphics comparable to ps3 and 360.

is it that late to include the word "also for windows 7 OS" on the box?

most new pc buyers are gonna be looking for great games and of course most of the pc's they will buy since yesterday will a have big Windows 7 sticker slapped on it.

» !

They'll probably just bung a sticker on the game packaging for now, until they re-run the print. But with people's attitude towards the PC version, I don't think another print run will be needed lol!

» Hmm....

To do that they would need MS's permission and pay for the royalty, this isn't from knowledge of knowing rules but by knowing MS.
