There have been tons of downloads of Rovio's games on several platforms and with a very glaringly different price between the two. Mojang remains humble and the studio even turned down Facebook partner and ex-Napster creator Sean Parker for a financial percentage of the company. Carl Manneh, Mojang chief exec even went on to say that it was not because of Parker's history or colourful background but they "didn't want to raise capital at the time and we still don't," according to the Mojang chief executive.

But little did we know TV has come calling to Mojang and they have not made their mind up yet. "We've been approached by a number of high-profile Hollywood producers and asked to do TV shows," Manneh said. "We may do that. It's hard when you don't have any experience and someone comes to throw these ideas around. We have so much to focus on with just the game development and growing the business. But if the right idea comes along and the right people that we'd want to work with, we'd say why not?"
It seems to me that we have been hearing more and more rumors and reports of developers being contacted by other media to do some type of crossover, whether it be television or movies. This is an interesting trend and I'm looking forward to the future and seeing more of our favorite games hitting both the big and small screens.
Of course, it's really just analysts pointing things out and neither Rovio or Mojang have exchanged words, nor glances on the situation. If you had to take a guess where do you see the future for these two going? Will sales, downloads, merchandise, television shows and potential movies be a good thing or a bad thing for these games and developers? In my opinion I see even more big things coming down the road. We'll have to wait and see what the future holds.
