Minecraft: If You Mine It...They Will Come. And They Will Pay! |
Listed in: News Tags: minecraft, mojang, xbla
Approximately seven million gamers have bought Mojang’s Minecraft for the PC. This is a big number considering Minecraft on XBLA has served up approximately 2 million downloads (about 17,000 per day). Minecraft is the fastest selling title on XBLA.

In Minecraft gamers get to build sandboxes from 3D cubes. Inspired by the likes of Infiniminer and Dwarf Fortress gamers also get to show off their skills in two modes. In survival mode gamers will have the responsibility of securing their own resources as well as monitoring and handling their hunger and health levels.
In Creative mode gamers won’t have to worry about resources and for that matter hunger and health. They are free to simply create and create to their hearts content. And there is yet another mode called Hardcore which is similar to Survival mode. However Hardcore Mode features the most challenging and toughest levels without the ability to respawn.
Minecraft was first released as an alpha type back on May 17, 2009. It is also available for the Android and was released for the PC in November of 2011. Have you been swept up by the Minecraft craze like the millions of other gamers or is this the type of video game you just can't get into?

It needs guilds, a buying system to help with useless gold, more NPC types, and more digging tools(bulldozer s, drills, etc. stuff in IndustrialCraft and BuildCraft as well), and it needs the Treecapitator/Timber! mod(s)...
