Microsoft patches GTAIV stuttering problem

The last Windows Live update didn't prove to be a pleasant one when it caused PCs to stutter when playing the PC version of Grand Theft Auto IV (Xbox 360, PS3, PC). But there's nothing like a quick fix to patch up the mess, now that Microsoft has fixed the problem with another update.

"Thanks for your patience, a new update is available that addresses the stuttering issue with GTA IV. Just log in and apply the new update," says Microsoft. So no more stuttering, no more angry gamers. Now you can go back to slaughtering pedestrians in peace. Happy gaming!

Perhaps if Microcrap stopped with the stupid Windows LIVE nonsense... I mean seriously, wtf is up with Windows LIVE? Why not INCLUDE the applications with the OS? Thank God I use a Mac.

I'm not making a sarcastic remark, I just don't get it. If the game was stuttering with the patch, wouldn't it have shown up when they tested it? Or do they not test patches? Surely they would at least try it at home..
