Manhunt 2 no longer on PC

If you were hoping to still be able to get your hands on Manhunt 2 on the PC, you just had your hopes dashed madly away.

The Adult Only title was reportedly taken down by digital games distributor, Direct2Drive. Unfortunately, D2D was the only one distributing said game. The removal occurred after D2D was acquired by Gamefly.

It would appear, however, that the game's removal may not necessarily be a direct consequence of D2D's acquisition. An official statement from D2D was sent out, when asked by a user regarding this very matter.

"Unfortunately, not all games are offered on Direct2Drive. Games offered are decided by the game's publisher and can be removed at their disgression. We regret that we do not have any detailed information in regards to titles recently removed from our site. We're sorry for any inconvenience this has caused you.

Manhunt 2 also came out on the Wii. It was one of those games that caught Jack Thompson's ire, calling it a murder training device.

Well as the game cant be brought then does that mean all pirated versions are now not pirated versions as how can you pirate a game that doesn't exist?

So the only place to download it now is torrents. yeah for us. At least the pirate community is keeping games available for real gamers.
But if you were a real gamer you would already own this masterpiece. It's an awesome game on any platform. PC, Wii, PSP, PS2. :)

well, this is, from now on, another reason for not buying software online, but on disc, in a box. second, if you do buy software online, archive it on disc or keep the installation kit on your hdd.

that'd be a lesson for all of those that lost the downloaded files. hopefully the torrents are out there, and now no companies can point their finger to the scene for spreading "illegal" copies.

ps: i don't see rockstar letting this issue pass by. maybe they'll just sell it on another site.

Loved this game on PSP!
Are we getting Manhunt 3 anytime soon?

Imagine it running in DX11 and having Physx for the blood
