Listed in: News Tags: league of legends, major league gaming, MLG, mw3
MLG is becoming more and more serious with it's endeavours into branching out into a serious form of entertainment. eSports such as League of Legends and Counter Strike are still being broadcast and people are showing up in droves to see what all the fuss is about. That fuss is now open to the tune of $13 million with more and more money being raised from tournaments and various other business deals MLG has been doing. The eSports provider even filed for a $11 million dollar loan to expand in 2012.

Total funding before this deal had MLG standing at 52.5 million and last year MLG had their biggest event which saw over 200% increase in unique visitors to the Pro Circuit Season. The finale, which took place in Providence, had over 200 000 eyes online, watching every nail biting second. MLG actually hold more than 750,000 matches online, just every month and the games are often streamed live to hundreds of fans worldwide. Hopefully MLG will break out into more and more countries.
