Left 4 Dead 2 receives new patch, encore mutation

A new encore mutation have returned to Left 4 Dead 2 this week that will have you blasting the infected to shreds using the ultimate gun with unlimited amo.

The Gib Fest mode is now again available for those who still can't get enough of Valve's awesome zombie slaying shooter. Along with the new mutation, the publisher/developer also released a new patch for the game, this time, fixing the issues from the recently outed campaigns, Death Toll: The Boathouse and Cold Stream: Cut-Throat Creak.

Patch notes:

Encore Mutation: Gib Fest
- Added FCVAR_RELEASE to the following rcon cvars: sv_rcon_minfailures, sv_rcon_minfailuretime, sv_rcon_maxfailures, sv_rcon_banpenalty and sv_rcon_log
- Fixed a bug with processing entity packets.
- Fixed various audio bugs for the Left 4 Dead 1 survivors.
Death Toll: The Boathouse
- Moved rope barrier closer to dock.
- Added rock for Infected Specials to spawn behind.
- Moved melee weapon spawn off picnic table to avoid floating weapons.
- Fixed finale scoring bug.
Cold Stream: Cut-Throat Creak
- Redesigned start of map. There is missing Audio use the handset and then the door in the big building to begin.
- Removed the ability for common infected to spawn on top of ridge along the first ravine.

I haven't played this game for awhile now, so this update might be worth checking.
