Kotick: Player enthusiasm for Modern Warfare 3 unlike anything in Activision history |

Recent entries in the Call of Duty series have each broken the sales records set by their predecessors. Activision boss Bobby Kotick believes that Modern Warfare 3 is on track to do just that when it launches later this year.
Speaking to Reuters, the Activision CEO said that although he can't disclose the pre-order numbers for the upcoming shooter yet, they are already showing a "meaningful difference" compared to the numbers set by last year's Call of Duty entry, Black Ops.
"It's sort of surprising because you always go into the launch of a new Call of Duty game with an expectation that ... it's a hard number to beat, but if you look at the player enthusiasm for Modern Warfare 3, I don't know if we've really seen anything like it in our 21-year history."
Aside from the series' brand identity, developer Infinity Ward is banking on the "something for everyone" ethos in Modern Warfare 3. "There is definitely something for everyone, whether you are brand new to Call Of Duty or you have been playing it for years," IW man Robert Bowling recently said.
Modern Warfare 3 will be facing competition in the form of EA and DICE's Battlefield 3 this year, although EEDAR analyst Jesse Divnich thinks that both games can be successful without necessarily hurting the other's sales.

In really cod has never been mroe alive, 22 million on mw2 and 25 million on black ops.
Or maybe the cod fans simply are excited about mw3 and dont mess with the crappy cod hate that both bf fans and ea seems to show at every chance they get
