Empire Interactive is about to release International Cricket Captain Ashes Edition 2006, the latest edition of the cricket management simulation series. We can't claim to be experts on cricket. We can't even claim to understand it. But we do know something about the PC game.International Cricket Captain Ashes Edition 2006 has a complete and up-to-date rosters, statistics and venues. It is said to be the most accurate predictor of the outcome of the upcoming Ashes Tests and One Day Internationals. Oh, all right we read that off the box. Anyway, the rest of the features are listed below:
- Comprehensive and up to date 2006 player database from the English season along with world statistics for all first class players from the Test nations
- Take control of a First Class county team, guide them to success over the course of a season and earn the right to captain your national side
- Transfers & Team Selection – renew or terminate contracts, sign new talent from youth teams; win matches to increase your budget to bid for top players
- Full international calendar of every scheduled Test match and One Day International
- Full English domestic season including the County Championship (Divisions 1 and 2), Twenty Over Cup, Pro League and Challenge Cup
- Match Screen – change tactics on an over-by-over or ball-by-ball basis whilst selecting the highlight level for watching the action
- Tactics – exploit the weaknesses of each batsman by directing your bowler’s line and length and choose from a vast selection of pre-set field settings or create you own
