Let’s get right to the point: Diablo III will officially hit retail shelves on May 15. Well, most of Diablo III, anyway—the player vs. player portion of the game has been delayed due to Blizzard being unsatisfied with their progress in that particular department.

The company has confirmed the release date via press release this morning, and detailed some of the cool stuff players can expect from the various editions of the game. For instance, the Collector’s Edition will include a behind-the-scenes movie, soundtrack, art book and Diablo II—not too shabby.

You can pre-order Diablo III right now by heading to the game’s official website. In the meantime, the beta continues to run onward, with no indication of when it will be taken offline.
