Here Comes Another Kickstarter Campaign |

Earlier this week, we talked about how Double Fine’s effort to crowd-fund its next title was a rousing success, with the company’s Kickstarter campaign raking in a tasty $3 million. And with Double Fine’s success, it’s only natural that other devs try to get in on the action. inXile, the company behind Choplifter and Hunted, is doing just that.

The company started their own Kickstarter campaign early this morning, with a goal of $900,000. Though they have until April 17 to hit their target and thus secure funding, as of my writing this they’re already up to $130,000—money they’ve made in just a few hours.
inXile is attempting to raise money for Wasteland 2, a direct sequel to what many consider the first post-apocalyptic RPG. They’ve made a pretty strong case for themselves on the Kickstarter page, outlining what was so great about the original game and how donations will be used to create a solid gaming experience.
You can check it out (and donate) here: Wasteland 2
In the meantime, what do you think of this new trend for crowd-sourced finance?

But then again, people said the same thing about record labels when artists started recording their own music.
