Telltale Games has got more episodic thrills for us, this time in the form of Hector: Badge of Carnage. It's a revamp of the good ol' iPhone classic (eh, it's not really that old after all), and this time, it's headed for the PC, Mac and iPad.

The full title of this curious game is actually Hector: Badge of Carnage, We Negotiate with Terrorists. Before you cast judgment on that subtitle, hear out what it's all about first.

Badge of Carnage is actually a point-and-click adventure, which puts in the shoes of Detective Inspector Hector. In the little town of Clappers Wreake, a violent hostage crisis has ensued, and as there's no one else to turn to, the task falls upon your shoulders.

Granted, you, as Inspector Hector, isn't exactly the most sober person out there, you've still got your badge, and in this dire times of need, that should matter more than the fact that you're burping whiskey.

Hector: Badge of Carnage Episode 1 comes out on the PC, Mac and iPad as soon as April 27th, so don't hesitate and get your copy now. If you do, you'll even get to have a complimentary copy of Puzzle Agent, as well as get to donate some 10% of the pre-order proceeds to Japan's relief operations.

This "new" version of the game also features improved hint and save-game systems. The two other episodes - Senseless Acts of Justice and Beyond Reasonable Doubt - should follow sometime later this year.
