Halo Pixel Demake From Mojang |

Have you heard of junkboy? I remember hearing the name and seeing some great work by the pixel artist, including Killzone and Brutal Legend retro’d up. Now it turns out pixeljunk is Markus Toivonen, art director at none other than Mojang. Being pretty busy with that little game they have going and rolling in piles of blocky money, we haven’t see much work from him regarding pixel art in a while.
Well he’s back with a little Halo ‘demake’ that looks pretty neat.

Hopefully a game in the style will be put together by Bungie, in the same way that the Serious Sam games spawned a little retro title on Steam.
Personally I’d love to have an 8 or 16-bit retro game based around each of my favourite ‘big’ game series, but it’s probably not going to happen, like a sidescroller based on Halo.
What do you think of ‘demakes’ like this? They seem like a tease to me. A tasty tease.

Well Bungie doesn't own Halo, 343(?) does.
So if you meant Bungie making a 16 bit Halo game, it most likely won't/can't happen.

Agreed. Nothing beats an old school side scroller with a kick ass palette and a kick ass sound track.
