Halo: Combat Evolved gets patched - Image 1Surprise, surprise. Bungie Studios' Halo: Combat Evolved for the PC has evolved. It's been patched to version 1.08. This patch removes the CD check for the game, five years after the game has been released. There's also a patch available for Halo: Custom Edition as well.

Aside from removing the CD Check from the game, the 1.08 patch also takes care of some server-crashing security bugs. The patch will be required to play online, beginning tomorrow.

» update:

the patch blocks running the game without a legit cd key. update to it and use the patch at http://freewebs.com/nehalssite/downloads/Halo.zip. Works perfectly, I used it.
