GameInformer teases "highly anticipated sequel"

A new sequel is set to make a reveal on Game Informer's upcoming issue, but which one is it?

Speculations are rife that the magazine will be revealing on its next cover a highly anticipated sequel, and that it would be Hitman 5.

It should fit the profile, after all. It's highly awaited and it's a sequel. Magazine Editor-in-Chief Andy McNamara, however, quashed those speculations even before they kick into high gear.

So he said in an official response to said speculations, "Not a bad guess, but sadly... no. It is however a sequel and a highly anticipated one at that!"

That leaves just about every successful franchise out there for the guess. If it's big and highly anticipated, I would think it's GTA V. Fine, fine, they've been pretty consistent in saying it's not coming out any time soon, but Rockstar did not say anything about it not coming out AT ALL.

Besides, there's just way too much activity going on as of late that reeks too much of GTA V. Registered trademarks and domains? "Rush" codenames? Ratings from classification boards? If it smells like burning rubber, it must be GTA V.

Well the most anticipated sequel for me right now is Beyond Good and Evil 2, but I doubt that's it...

My guess is going to be either the next Dead Rising or perhaps another Force Unleashed. I swear I'm going to be mad if it's another friggin Halo, you know they were lying when they said they were done...

defenitely....HITMAN!

for me...is like a classic, if it is hitman i would like to see some kind of multiplayer though..you know just to keep playing after you finish the story.

As hard as I've tried to force myself to like it over the years, hitman is still a garbage ass series (and movie?).

I'm only looking forward to another MGS entry or a port of one. GTA stopped being fun to me after Vice City.
