Frozen Synapse Humble Bundle Breaks a million |

Humble Bundles are awesome, let's get that out of the way. They help everyone in the gaming industry. From developers, to creators, to distributors and finally to the charities that people donate to. The little slider bars which cause guilt as well as happiness from simply donating $5 or however much you donated. But I mean, what could a simple bundle of 3-8 games really do...?
I'm sorry, how much?
They got a million dollars.
Oh no, you're mistaken they only got... $1,115,346.13. That is beyond brilliant! Not as successful as last time, but they were offering a hell of a lot more. The work has been amazing for the EFF and Child's Play who have helped people all over the world and will hopefully benefit greatly from the 231 799 bundles they sold...oh if they only sold one more that'd be awesome.
The Bundle wasn't just humble this time, it was Frozen as the game Frozen Synapse was thrown in as the opening bit of fun that was offered up by the developers. Other games included in the bundle was the yet to be released Jack Claw and Splot. The always insanely fun Diablo'em up Trine and the oddly sci-fi and addictive Shadowgrounds game and it's expansion pack. The creators really made it easy as the games were ported to eveery kind of computing system there is. You can actually play them on Steam, Desura or simply torrent that bit of awesome and go nuts.
The Humble Bundles in the past have broken over two million but this one was a fairly rushed affair. They had only 8 games this time as opposed to the whooping 13 games, however, the percentage share for specific platforms was about the same. I needn't toot my own horn about the charity, I've always wished I'd pitched in more for the games.
Trauma and Space Chem were included for those who paid more than the average user. Both games awesomely difficult and insane when it comes to concept and gameplay. I need to play them more over the weekend but both rely on some simple game mechanics to create a fairly complex and immersive experience. One being a centrifuge, another being a woman recovering in hospital...yeah...about that...
Oh and Frozen Synapse is absolutely fantastic taking specific strategies and having the ability to tell a story with a few graphics and a bit of text. It was so much fun planning out with how enemies would move and your placement and timing and...just wow. The music is also so incredible, a mix of a sleek spy thriller and some chaotic dubstep, which you can also download.
For those of you who missed out, I'd say shame on you, but you know what, people can just buy whatever and if you really want to buy the games or support the charities, just do it, you shouldn't be hesitant, it's going to a great cause. The EFF is always fighting some net neturality evil and Child's Play always need game donations as well as financial support.
