Ó

For those of us currently having their faces melted by the sheer graphical and gameplay quality of Crytek's polygon-crunching FPS, Crysis, here's something that should get your blood going after the game's climax: not only will the sequel focus more on the Koreans and the aliens, but also push for near photorealistic movie quality.
Ambitious? Yeah, considering the fact that the first game already has the most advanced graphics in the history of forever. How much further, we wonder, can the envelope be pushed?
This bit of news comes directly from Crytek's own Lead Animator & Animation Manager Steven Bender, during the Lichtblick3D Meet & Greet. His statement:
The second part is to resume not only history around Koreans and Aliens.
According to him, the developer's attention will be even more focused on graphics. There will be numerous improvements regarding textures (especially facial textures) and 3D-animations. Their ambitious aim is to push the game's visuals to an advanced level, that could be considered near photorealistic movie quality.
Very, very interesting news indeed. Will we see more of Nomad, or will we be able to look through the eyes of a different entity entirely? Check back here for more updates.

You can't just sit around, you always have to push the envelope. Otherwise, nothing goes anywhere.

Not only would they increase the fanbase but it would also increase the money which we all know thats what devs want anyway. Its all about the Benjimans, and greens. Why do you think DMC4 went multi for the money.
