First details and screenshots revealed for The Whispered World |

Searching for meaning in your life? Well, a fellow by the name of Sadwick is doing the same, except he's learning that life's a tall order if you're meant to save the world. Daedalic Entertainment has released new information and screens on The Whispered World, which promises to be an inventive take on the point and click adventure game.
Here's the basic synopsis:
Protagonist Sadwick is a young clown, travelling a fairy tale world with his familyÂ’s circus. But he is in no laughing mood and on a disappointing search for meaning in his life. One night, a mysterious form speaks to him in a dream and sends him on perilous journey. Many challenges await Sadwick, for the world he knows so well is doomed...
The Whispered World is set to be released sometime in the fourth quarter of 2008 for the PC. In the meantime, have a look at the gorgeous art that's in these screens. Enjoy!

It kind of reminds me of Discworld. Oh, how I wish we could go back to those days of great comedic adventures. But I suppose this game is too depressing to be something resembling Discworld or Monkey Island -- that "world he knows so well is doomed" bit makes it obvious...
