Enemy Territory: Quake Wars for the PC - Image 1More reminders that Splash Damage's Enemy Territory: Quake Wars for the PC is almost here. id Software and Activision have just sent out a press wire announcing that the game has now gone gold. And as reported previously, the title is scheduled for a September 28 release for Europe and Australia, with an October 2 release to follow for North America.

The game is rated "T" by the ESRB (for the PC), and is expected to sell for US$ 49.99. The game's Limited CollectorÂ’s Edition package is expected to sell for US$ 59.99. In line with this news, Splash Damage Owner/Creative Director Paul Wedgwood had this to say:

The opportunity to develop Enemy Territory Quake Wars has been mind-blowingly cool! The passion and effort put in by our team at Splash Damage, combined with the amazing direction and mentoring weÂ’ve received from id Software has led to an award-winning game that weÂ’re incredibly proud of. Our team canÂ’t wait to join fans across the globe to fight in EarthÂ’s battle for survival!

Stay tuned in case we hear any updates for Enemy Territory: Quake Wars on the other platforms. The game's PlayStation 3 port is currently being handled by Activision (Foster City), while the Xbox 360 version is under development by Nerve Software.
