Enemy Territory: Quake Wars enters Beta 2 - Image 1

If you didn't get into the first beta test for id Software's Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, you might still get a chance to do so. An update on the developers blog by badman has let slip that the game's Beta 2 will be rolling out.

The big news though is the announcement of an additional 25,000 beta keys that will be released to the public. While some of these keys were already given out to those attending Quakecon, the vast majority will be available via FilePlanet at the same time as the updated beta client.

To get ready for this, the devs are working with all of the Game Server Providers running servers for the ETQW Public Beta to make sure all of the machines are up to date when Beta 2 launches. A cool thing about this build is the fact that it comes with unranked server code. This means that players will be able to run their own servers and customize games to their liking. Be sure to keep checking back here for more updates on the game.
