EA Says SimCity Launch Won’t Be a Shitastrophe in Europe |

As I write this post, there are people who still can’t log into or access the new SimCity thanks to EA’s ridiculously terrible always-on DRM scheme. The game’s servers have been under heavy load since the game launched yesterday, and while EA keeps saying the issue is resolved, players don’t seem to feel the same way.

If you’re one of the folks waiting for the international version of the game to launch, don’t sweat the service outages too much. According to the good folks at EA, everything should be just fine. In fact, the company is “confident” that Origin and SimCity will be stable for those launches.
Just like it was “confident” always-on DRM and forced multiplayer were things that its player base actually wanted. Snaaaaap! Burrrrnnn!
But seriously, let us know how it goes. Best of luck!
