Duke Nukem fansite Duke4.net has published a few new details from Official Xbox Magazine regarding Duke Nukem Forever's multiplayer modes.

The game will ship with ten maps, including a revival of Duke Nukem 3D's Duke Burger level. The multiplayer modes are Dukematch, Team Dukematch, a King of the Hill mode called Hail to the King, and Capture the Babe. That last one is like Capture the Flag, only the flag is a girl who will sometimes freak out while you're carrying her. You can try out a few of them in a multiplayer demo that will be released before the game launches.

The multiplayer modes are reportedly limited to four-on-four battles. Dukes on one side will get red shirts while those on the other will wear blue. Points earned by killing other players can be used to futher customize your own Duke. Basic kills earn you one point but there are others -- like accidentally killing yourself with a pipebomb -- that can earn you more points.

The confirmed weapons are pistol, shotgun, ripper chaingun, pipebomb, rpg, shrinker, railgun, freezer, devestator, and tripbomb. Players can equip two primary weapons at once along with a pipebomb or tripbomb. The latter can be attached to other players. Duke Nukem 3D's HoloDuke returns, but this time it cloaks players. There's also a jetpack that's limited to multiplayer maps.

Duke Nukem Forever ships out on May 3 in North America and May 6 worldwide.
