The announcement was made this past weekend, along with other details about the upcoming awaited game from Blizzard. Included in the announcements were the matter regarding the Beta. Apparently, it will be coming in waves, with North America getting first dibs, while Europe gets it a little bit later.
As for the other tidbits, here they are, in bullet-form, thanks to a compilation from Reddit:
- "Real Money" Auction House. You can sell and buy Items for Real Money. You have to pay fee to Blizzard for it. You can also use an Ingame-Gold Auction House.
- Blizzard will not sell Gold or Items. It is just Player to Player Trading.
- Every Class has its own introduction video.
- The Auction House has an amazing search system it sorts the items by the best stats for your character.
- Beta contains all five classes and ends with Leoric.
- Hardcore Modus is in (No more Infos).
- Match-Making-System for Random Groups and PvP-Arena.
- Sharing-Stash confirmed.
- Banner-System: You have a Virtual-Banner for your Achievements. It contains all Achievements from your account (not Character).
- They will also release a long new gameplay trailer tomorrow (August 1). it will contain new skills and runes.
- No specific End-Game Content (No Raids etc.), but they want to add more stuff for high level players later.
- Naming-System will work like in StarCraft 2. You have a name and an ID like "Diablo.113".
Diablo III is expected to come out sometime next year. As it is, the marketing for the game is definitely in full swing, with talks of a Lore book coming alongside the game when it comes out. In the meantime, a beta has been promised by Blizzard for Q3 of this year. Watch out for that.

And Be exactly like the chinese gold farmers that ruin it for everyone else?
Seriously tho it creates an unfair advantage and heavily takes away from the gameplay.

As for game play, everyone has the same advantages.

I remember the good old days when you get good at a game and you earn your achievements, but this is just buying your way to the top. If this is the model games are gonna be going on then it's kinda like politics where you can't tell the difference between the rich who bought their position and the people who genuinely deserve to be where they at.
