Diablo III Moves 12 Million |
Listed in: News Tags: Activision, Blizzard, diablo, diablo iii, World of Warcraft
Activision released its earnings report yesterday, and among other interesting things we learned that Diablo III has moved a whopping 12 million copies since launch. In fact, Diablo III was the best-selling PC game of 2012. Not too shabby for a game that fanboys pretended to hate.

Other Blizzard news? World of Warcraft subs are down to 9.6 million, but the company is sailing along and still raking in plenty of bucks. Maybe that real-money auction house thing wasn’t such a bad idea after all.
Diablo III originally launched in May of 2012, 12 years after the previous entry in the franchise. Critics and fans were split on how much they actually liked the game compared to its predecessors, but the sales numbers seem to speak for themselves.
Did you pick up a copy of Diablo III last year?
