Daedalic Entertainment announces Edna & Harvey: The Breakout for PCs - Image 1

One welcome trend that's prevalent within the  realm of point and click adventure gaming are quirky, and oftentimes bizarre plots. It doesn't get any stranger with Edna & Harvey: The Breakout, where crazy appears to be the norm. Daedalic Entertainment emailed us to announce that the game's being readied for release this May for the territories of Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The game will put players behind the perspective of Edna, a girl who wakes to find herself locked in a mental asylum. She has no memory of her past, save the she knows that she's been wrongfully imprisoned, and that she must escape.

Along with Harvey, her talking stuffed toy bunny, Edna will make her way across the asylum, meeting up with some of the asylum's stranger residents. For one, there's Man in the BeeÂ’s Costume, and then there's the Siamese twins Hoti and Moti. Adding more intrigue to the mystery is Dr. Marcel, the head of the mental institute who's intent on keeping Edna locked up.

Who is Edna, exactly? Why is she in the asylum? And why in heaven's name can she hear Harvey if she is normal? These are just among some of the questions that the players can look forward to answering as The Breakout readies for its Europe release. Announcement aside, we also managed pick up early screenshots of how The Breakout's art looks. Enjoy the pics, and be sure to visit us again in case we pick up more info.
