Crouching tiger, rising Steam: Jade Empire SE gets downloadable

It looks like people won't have to fight their way to the stores to get themselves a copy of Jade Empire: Special Edition. Valve's very own Steam service has got your back with a downloadable version you can purchase and grab from their site.

As far as we can tell, Steam is offering Jade Empire: SE for pre-purchase. Now, the kicker is we must have missed a memo or something, because instead of having it for a US$ 30 price tag, it went up to US$ 35. Darn. Still, it's not such a bad deal, since you usually pay around forty bucks for this sort of thing, right?

In any case, we'll just have to wait and see what this does for the game. How about you? Would you prefer to buy a downloadable over the one with the box?
