Creative Assembly working on Alien game |

There have been a lot of video games based on the 1986 film Aliens and its Colonial Marines, but you can't quite say the same about 1979's Alien. I guess the sequels' more action-oriented focus lends more to a game than the original. Whatever the case may be, Total War: Shogun 2 dev The Creative Assembly is taking a stab at making a game based on the Ridley Scott original.
Rock Paper Shotgun reports that the devs are being pretty tight lipped about any details concerning their Alien game so far, refusing even to comment on target platforms or a projected release date. UK government culture secretary Ed Vaizey, who actually broke the news via a tweet, says the graphics and concept are "amazing", although RPS notes that as a self-confessed non-avid gamer, he may just be guessing.
The devs are willing to say that it will be an action game, but it won't just be another take on the recent Colonial Marine-populated games. It can also be inferred, that this project will be pretty big, as the UK-based studio is reportedly increasing its headcount to 200 and buying a new office in order to handle it.

Like the first silent hill.
But they're probably just abusing the angle of using the first movie for more standard issue run and gun stupidity.
At least its not activision so there still might be a chance in hell.
