Counter Strike Global Offensive details coming to the world |

Despite the game only being announced a few days ago on the forums, Counter Strike Global Offensive already has a few details coming out. To compete in the new decade, looks like Valve has really taken to consoles after the confident and strong releases of Portal 2 and Left 4 Dead 2 went so smoothly. Craig Levine, e-Sports competitor wrote an awesome article about the game which may change the way we view Valve on consoles, even more so, in the next year or so.
After what happened to the TF2 ports with The Orange Box it looks like they've really stepped up their game. Levine, also known as Torbull in the pro gaming circuits, has impressed by the visual style CS:GO had. “The maps look beautiful, the player skins and animations are smooth, and the gun models are cool!”. It looks like some old favourites will return as Levine got to play some old levels such as “dust, dust2, inferno, and nuke” with Valve confirming other maps such as train and likely some new ones will be included in the release.
Levine said that the game didn't “feel like 1.6 and despite being built on the Source engine...didn't feel like CSS”. With that description I get the feeling Valve really is gonna make this for consoles but doesn't mind the fact it'll be released on Steam. I feel like an open beta will be up in a few months and there will be a lot of changes between now and then. Whilst I think their focus is gonna be more of a multiplatform release, they could keep changing it up, TF2 style.
A few other changes that I personally got excited out were two additions to the game. Molotov cocktails which are used to slow down opponents and re-route opponents during the game and decoy grenades which can emit gun sounds and throw off the other players. This will really add to the strategy and fun with the game that I haven't really played in a while. If they go for some campaign missions, a lá Condition Zero, it might be interesting.

Well CoD it's been the same since CoD3...different scneario, same feel, no excitement...so I think they will do fine here
