So what is "Hotseat'? Well, accoding to 2K Greg, Hotseat is a "method of playing multiplayer where multiple players take turns on the same computer. When one player’s turn is over, they get up and let the other player sit down to play their turn." He went on to add that they have received many "requests for the ETA for this mode being added to the game," so the devs promptly added the mode in the next big patch for the game, which is currently slated to arrive some time in June or early July. Aside from the new multiplayer mode, the upcoming patch will also contain a number of changes and improvements to the game, which will be detailed by 2K in the weeks ahead.

Um, what?

"I have friends that love to play Civilizations but they didn't bother to buy a copy, so I would like to be able to play against them on only my computer."

Or

"I have friends who love to play Civilizations but they don't have the internet, so I would like to be able to play against them on only my computer."

Is there any other reason I'm not realizing?
