Cave Story Gets Christmas Look |

Fans of Cave Story will be surprised to see a new Christmas look in the game. Available for the Steam version of the game, the Christmas update has new textures and themes, including a Santa outfit on your new reindeer protagonist and areas of the game are now covered in snow and lights. Sounds nice, and this sort of dedication is a small yet warming treat when you come across it in games.
If you haven’t picked up the Humble Indie Bundle, now would be a good time to grab the game, as who knows how long the theme will last. Perhaps a New Year’s theme will have taken over in a few days. The last time I experienced something similar to this in videogames was in The Simpsons Hit And Run, where the Playstation’s clock would affect the game if on particular holidays.
Do you enjoy little touches like this in games, or do you just want to play?

actually to get the entire bundle (yes that means if you want CS+ with the other game) you have to donate more than $5.38 if you pay .01 cent for it you only get the base of it all (you don't get the added games that being CS+ with nitesky if i remember). if you go for the humble bundle pay for it. don't be cheap, people put time into makeing the games we play.
