Blizzard Prepares Megaton Banhammer |

Blizzard does not tolerate cheaters. No matter the Blizzard title, whether it be World of Warcraft, World of Diablo or StarCraft 1.5, the company will knock you directly into Bannedville if it catches you violating game rules, using hack software or otherwise engaging in exploitative behaviors.

But, of course, Diablo III is a new game, which means the rules need to be established again. So, (wearily, I’m guessing), old Blizz took to its blog to issue a staunch warning to those with cheating hearts:
“If a Diablo III player is found to be cheating or using hacks, bots, or modifications in any form, then as outlined in the Diablo III end user license agreement, that player can be permanently banned from the game. This means that the player will be permanently unable to log in to Battle.net® to play Diablo III with his or her account.”
The company then clarified:
“Playing Diablo III legitimately means playing with an unaltered game client. Doing otherwise violates our policies for Battle.net and Diablo III, and it goes against the spirit of fair play that all of our games are based on. We strongly recommend that you avoid using any hacks, cheats, bots, or exploits."
Blizzard confirmed that bans and suspensions will begin in the “near future,” so you’d better get your Diablo hacking out of the way now if you haven’t already.
The warning is not without irony, of course—Blizzard’s forcing everyone into online play has made the consequences of hacking and exploitative activities far greater than they would be if players simply had an offline mode in which to experiment.
Win some, lose some, eh Blizz?

So, if I were to play this solo and cheat, I would be banned from the game I own because I wanted to mess around and have fun?
Man, the companies these days...
They used to actually want you to have fun how you wanted to, and they would add in cheats, themselves, to the game.
