Here's another million-mark breaker. Spore of Electronic Arts has broken through the big 100M creatures creation marker, with over 30 million Spore creatures uploaded to Sporepedia. And according to the press release, "that's more than 19 times the number of known species on Earth." There's also something for you if you're the creator of the lucky 100 millionth creation. The prizes are the following:
- NVIDIA GeForce 9800GT graphics card
- Spore
- Spore Galactic Adventures expansion pack
This is a staggering milestone to have met in less than one year from the launch of Creature Creator. We continue to be astounded by the outrageous creations and incredible creativity that Spore players have poured into the Sporepedia, from lifelike animals to fantastical creatures and futuristic spaceships. We can't wait to see the ingenuity our players reveal through the missions they create in Spore Galactic Adventures!
The said expansion pack will be coming to the PC, Mac, and Wii on June 23rd, while another title, Spore Hero Arena will be coming to the DS by Fall of this year.
So, if you want those prizes, we suggest you start keeping a close watch on that creature counter now. At this point, there are 31, 017,761 Spore creatures that are officially uploaded to Sporepedia. There's about 69 million uploads more to go, so good luck!
