Electronic Arts and DICE must be quite pleased with this outcome, now that the heroes of their free to play web-based battlefield are more than a million strong. That's right - Battlefield Heroes registrations have broken the one million mark.

Naturally, the execs aren't slowing down on the promotion. "The team is really proud to have hit 1 million registrations at this early stage," said Ben Cousins, GM of the Battlefield Heroes Team. "Creating a character and gameplay experience that is totally yours is what sets this game apart – your hero can be anything from a bazooka-toting pirate, a grenade-throwing ninja or even a mime assassin!"

The open beta must've done very well to help raise that many registrations so soon, and sure, being free-to-play has a big hand in that as well. Cartoony warfare does make a refreshing change from the serious titles, so why not indulge and try this one out? Have you guys registered?
