Arma 3 will be shown off at E3 later this year, but Bohemia have released some details about the upcoming shooter giving us just a taste of what to expect.
An open ended, story driven campaign is mentioned, with the ability to progress from a grunt to military commander. There will be the usual plethora of aircraft, vehicles and attack ships to control, with meticulous simulation of each.
And speaking of meticulous, PhysXT will be supported, and there is a promise of a revamped animation system so you can shoot your way across an ‘authentic Mediterranean island modeled from real geographical data.’
Perhaps the most exciting news for fans of the series is the support of dedicated servers for both Windows and Linux. There is customization for your multiplayer soldier load out and moddable scenarios and mission editor.
