Activision Clears Up Call of Duty Elite Statements |
Listed in: News Tags: Activision, call of duty elite
Yesterday we broke news that the through official Call of Duty Elite Twitter account, Activision was expressing doubts on whether or not the service would actually make it to PC systems. Elite has already been delayed, but a tweet from the developer stated that there was no guarantee on “if or when” the service would ever go live, prompting gamers to worry that the PC version of Elite was in danger of being scrapped.

Activision disagrees with the tweet, or perhaps with the phrasing, and has issued a statement today confirming that the free version of Elite will indeed be making its way to PC, but not as soon as some fans may hope.
The company posted a new message on their Twitter account stating that the developer “misspoke” and that they have always maintained the goal of bringing the service to PC systems. They did specify “free,” so it looks like the fancier, pay-to-play version of Elite is strictly console only.
Elite has had a few problems since launch and the team has expressed concern over stats rigging on PC systems, so don’t expect to see it any time soon.
Do you care about Call of Duty Elite? Are you upset it hasn’t turned up on PCs?
