A whole buncha screens for Jack Keane |
Ó
CDV Software has just released a new batch of screens for the upcoming adventure PC game currently brewing in Deck 13's labs, Jack Keane.
If this is your first time to have heard of the game, no worries, we'll put you up to speed in no time. So, let's see: Jack Keane is basically an Indiana Jones-ish adventure game set in the early stages of colonialism in locations such as London, the high seas, Cape Town, or the Indian jungle. Fully rendered in 3D, the game will also have tons of cinematic movies and cutscenes, more than 40 hilarious characters, and allusions to famous movies, video and computer games.
In this sense then, I'm guessing it's sorta like an adventure-themed parody of some sort? But anyway, players will get to take on the role of either Jack Keane, the clumsy daredevil, or the attractive and adventurous Amanda. It's best not to take this game so seriously as it's also designed to give users a lotta laughs as they go through adventures in various locations.
You'll also be glad to know that Deck 13, the ones who are currently developing the game, won the German Developer Prize 2005 for the best German game. Well, with that kind of credits in their resume, surely Jack Keane is shaping up to deliver one of the funniest adventure games for the PC. That said, here are the screens to give you a glimpse of what's in store for you once the game hits the shelves Q2 2007.
