Is there a Castle Wolfenstein movie on the way? Why yes, there is, and those in charge of making it happen have just been revealed.

You heard it correctly – Castle Wolfenstein is making its way to the big screen. The official announcement was made at the American Film Market. According to producer Samuel Hadida and Panorama Media, Roger Avary will write and direct the film. Avary wrote the script for the original Silent Hill movie for Hadida and was a co-writer for the ever-popular Pulp Fiction.
Hadida said you can expect the following from the Castle Wolfenstein flick when it is released: “It is a big action adventure but also strongly character driven and based on a very solid story. ... The film involves a classic assault on the bad guys, who are nominally Nazis, more evocative of Inglourious Basterds than the actual World War II. It is a vaguely futuristic retro world as fun as Captain
Avary added that he’s played the Wolfenstein games as a kid, so it should be interesting to see how it all translates to the big screen.
