OUYA To Start Approving Games This Month. But What Is Excessive Pornography? |
Listed in: Hardware Tags: ouya, Playstation, vita
We have all seen the impressively long list of games that will be available for the OUYA at the launch of the Android console this June. But how do they pick the games and what kind of rigorous testing do they go through? OUYA CEO Julie Uhrman spoke to Engadget to explain a little of what criteria they have to meet to get approved.

.
"It's similar to mobile: they'll submit their games, and we'll review for intellectual property infringement, and malware, and excessive pornography. But ultimately it's a quick review and you're in the storefront in one capacity or another." And that they will start this process the "middle-to-end of this month."
Two things come to mind at this point. First, why does a Kickstarter console have more games at launch than the PlayStation Vita (maybe that should be there launch slogan) did and the second is what do they qualify as “excessive pornography?” That statement just seems a little strange don’t you think?

I wish the gamestick company had beaten Ouya to the punch.

How did they blow it?
That's the whole idea behind the OUYA.
It gives ANYONE the ability to get in to the home space as it's open source.
We don't need mobile, that's what mobile phones and tablets already do!

Not everyone has jumped into mobile yet.
So why only have one when you can have BOTH? Especially for LESS MONEY
